Mach 2.2 Organizing commitee JWM 2023.

France’s bid was supported by a Mach2.2 subcommittee created for this occasion, a unique opportunity to promote radio-controlled jets in France. The day after the announcement of the selection of their project by the IJMC, the group formed an organising committee for the JWM 2023: Eric Collin, president of Mach2.2 and founder of the IJMC France, Denis Anschling, vice-president of the IJMC World, Laurent Guillory, IJMC reference judge and leader of the French model jet team from 2013 to 2021, form the backbone.

The non-profit association group has two objectives which are defined in its statutes: the primary objective is the strategic preparation and organisation of the Jet WM 2023 in Auch, while the secondary objective is the promotion of radio-controlled jet flying in France. The method of promoting radio-controlled jets will be based on the establishment of a network of national and international contacts, the harmonisation of competitions, the provision of a team of internationally renowned judges, and support in legal matters.

All model pilots and other persons interested in radio-controlled flying are warmly invited to become members of the committee

This will be the first time that France will host a world championship of radio-controlled model jets. After the last edition which took place in China in 2019, our country will also have the heavy task of rekindling the torch of the world meetings, the 2021 edition planned in Austria having been cancelled due to the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19.
